Guy Madison, born Robert Ozell Moseley, was an American film and television actor best known for his rugged good looks and roles in Westerns. He became a popular screen icon during the 1940s and 1950s, especially for his portrayal of Wild Bill Hickok in the long-running television series The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok.
Madisonโs career began in earnest after a chance appearance in a war film during WWII, which led to a contract with David O. Selznick. Though he was initially cast for his appearance rather than acting experience, he soon proved capable in action and romantic roles.
